The Miracle in MAC (Miracle Alien Cookies)
In the early days of the internet, before the rise of social media platforms like Facebook, online forums and newsgroups served as gathering spaces for people from all over the world to discuss various topics, share knowledge, and connect with one another. In the realm of cannabis enthusiasts, these forums were particularly valuable for exchanging ideas on strains, cultivation, and experimentation.
One such breeder, who adopted the moniker Capulator for online interactions, became a notable figure in the cannabis breeding community. Known for his privacy, Capulator contributed to discussions on strain development during the heyday of forums and newsgroups. His identity remains largely undisclosed.
During this era, Capulator shared a remarkable story about the creation of the Miracle Alien Cookies (MAC) strain. The tale involves a literal washing machine mishap that turned into a cannabis breeding miracle.
Capulator’s attempt to crossbreed involved Alien Cookies F2 #7 and a strain descended from Starfighter from Columbia. After the crossbreeding, he obtained 15 seeds. However, an unintended washing machine cycle put these seeds through an unexpected ordeal.
Despite the washing machine mishap, Capulator and his companion attempted to salvage the seeds by germinating them in a wet paper towel. To their amazement, all 15 seeds sprouted successfully. Unfortunately, the joy was short-lived, as all but one of the seedlings perished within two weeks. Capulator affectionately named the survivor “Miracle 15.”
Undeterred, Capulator proceeded to crossbreed Miracle 15 with another Alien Cookies plant, giving rise to the strain we now know as Miracle Alien Cookies.
While the strain is commonly referred to as MAC, it has also earned endearing nicknames such as “Mother of All Cookies” and “Mother of All Cannabis” from enthusiasts who hold it in high regard. This unexpected journey, marked by a miraculous survival and subsequent breeding success, has contributed to the mystique and allure of Miracle Alien Cookies in the cannabis community.
